  • Excellent accounts of engineers

I was looking for a interview of Jon Hirsctick for an article and stumbled on a treasure trove of engineering stories. Never have I seen such a collection of engineers telling their experiences! It reminds me of “Working,” by Studs Terkel, a haunting book about all sorts of jobs. But Aaron Moncur’s “Being an Engineer” is all about engineers, their jobs and their advice for other engineers — and frankly, I’d rather listen to a podcast than read a book.

  • For the love of Aaron and Raf

I’ve been listening to your podcast for a couple years now- every episode. It’s what got me to leave my dead end labor job and go back to school and finish out my ME degree; for my daughter’s future, and mine! I have always gotten that feeling of inadequacy that Raf has mentioned, and that’s part of what drove me away in the first place, but let me tell you something: we are as good as we make ourselves! After being out of school for three years and returning as a first semester senior, I finish... more

  • Raf and Aaron are Amazing Hosts

Raf and Aaron’s contrasting interviewing styles are perfect for the podcast and bring variety to the listeners. I like how they take turns interviewing guests. Aaron should coin the term “kindergarten skills.”
