This is a fantastic podcast for new flower farmers, those just starting out or home growers thinking about setting up a cutting patch. Twice a week Lydia articulately runs us through ‘the highs and lows’ of her flower farming journey in a honest and sincere manner. Her determination to create a flourishing flower farming business is admirable. As a fellow flower farmer myself I have encountered many of the challenges that she has and I wish her every success in her flower farming journey.

I am a full on true crime junkie however I stumbled across this podcast by accident and I am absolutely thrilled that I did. Utterly raw and honest about the struggles with cut flower growing, personal belief and confidence. Feel so happy to be going on the authors journey with her. Highly recommended to anyone and you don’t have to be even interested in cut flowers as it’s so lovely to just hear someone’s journey into starting something new. Think what I am trying to say is that this podcast is... more

A candid, practical look at building a small-cut-flower business from the ground up. Episodes blend hands-on growing updates with pricing, marketing, and selling—often focusing on cost awareness, regional market realities, and direct-to-consumer versus florist relationships. A recurring strength is the host's transparent, diary-like storytelling about the realities, trade-offs, and rhythms of growing flowers for sale on a tight budget, with regular plant profiles and actionable takeaways for aspiring growers and micro-entrepreneurs. Notable for its self-contained, actionable formats (shopfront setup, pricing experimentation, and live business pivots) and for treating cut flowers as a viable, seasonal business rather than a luxury, this show... more
