  • Fantastic Weekly Show

Great weekly show, gives fantastic indepth information. Sidenote, @bizooka, the person who mentioned holding Ariel and Rueven twitter usage against them. Grow up, you’re a child, it’s immature losers like you that are the reason this country is so divided.

  • My favorite of all fantasy baseball pods

Have really enjoyed the breadth of knowledge that Ariel and Reuven have brought to the table for a few years now. The smartest Podcast I listen to.

Very disappointing to see them still on the hellscape formally known as twitter — do think a little less of them for it.

Beat the Shift Podcast – Prospects Part II Episode w/ James Anderson
Q: When is the best time to draft prospects?
The best time to draft prospects is in October, November, and December before spring training, because ADP is still soft and you can secure value without overpaying.
Beat the Shift Podcast – Prospects Part II Episode w/ James Anderson
Q: What are you a bigger fan of to use during a season, preseason projections or in-season projections?
James prefers updated in-season projections as the most reliable, with preseason figures useful only for offseason evaluation, and emphasizes checking how a prospect performs against peers in the same farm system (e.g., Steamer 600) to gauge relative value.
Beat the Shift Podcast – Is It Too Early Episode w/ Clay Link
Q: Teoscar Hernandez. Clay, what are we doing with Teoscar? Not dropping him, but is he a buy, sell, hold?
Teoscar is viewed as a hold in most formats with upside to rebound; not the centerpiece of a trade, but expected to deliver solid counting stats and return toward his typical level.
Beat the Shift Podcast – Is It Too Early Episode w/ Clay Link
Q: All right, Clay, let's go first. Jose Caballero, he's been hot as heck. Are you buying him?
The verdict is to hold or buy depending on league format; Caballero is viewed as a solid hold with expected continued contributions in stolen bases, with potential playing time adjustments as Volpe returns, making him a buy/hold in many formats.
Beat the Shift Podcast – Pallazzo Episode w/ Sam Wirsching & Britton Allen
Q: How do you approach projections versus in-season performance when drafting?
The panel largely agrees to use projections as a baseline early but shift to in-season data around week four, balancing hot/cold streaks with real at-bats and innings to guide moves.
