  • Too many ads

Great content and I’ve learned a lot from this podcast. Unfortunately, the content is only about 25% of the play time. The other 75% is ads. I respect that this is a free podcast and her work has value, but it really affects the listener experience. I’ve mostly stopped listening because of it.

  • My favorite BLW Podcast

I love this podcast so much! Katie is so helpful in the overwhelming world of feeding your baby. I had no idea how controversial some baby feeding things were until I started trying to feed my baby on my own. As she says Katie takes out “all the noise” and really makes it simple. I bought her 100 foods before 1 plan and it has made what was super overwhelming actually really fun! My 10 month old has already has 80 or so foods and he’ll definitely have 100+ by the time he’s one. Not only has he h... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sauces, Dippers & Toppers for Making BLW Foods Safe with @babyledfeeding Aileen Cox Blundell
Q: How did you get into the world of Baby-Led Feeding?
Aileen talks about her journey from posting pictures of her son's meals to building a following, publishing books, and becoming a resource for parents seeking BLW guidance, with a focus on practical, family-friendly recipes.
CPR Skills that can Save Your Baby's Life when Choking with Brandon & Caitlyn Doersken
Q: What can parents expect from an online CPR course?
The course is pre-recorded, allows flexible viewing windows, includes videos, written material, quizzes, and a downloadable reference book, and is designed to be reviewed multiple times for ongoing confidence.
Introducing Allergenic Foods: Ask Me Anything
Q: What is the recommended approach for introducing allergenic foods and how much should be offered the first time?
There is no single definitive serving size; recommendations are gray and vary. A tiny dab can be used if it makes the parent feel safer, but it is not mandatory, and waiting for a reaction to guide further portions is not a strict rule.
Exploring the Eczema & Food Allergy Risk Link with Rebecca Hartman, MD MPH
Q: What practical steps can parents take when introducing allergens to a baby with eczema?
Introduce allergenic foods gradually, monitor for reactions beyond the first exposure, and consult with a pediatrician or allergist if hives, swelling, or breathing changes occur; continued reintroduction over time is important for building tolerance.
Exploring the Eczema & Food Allergy Risk Link with Rebecca Hartman, MD MPH
Q: How do you differentiate mild from severe eczema in the context of peanut allergy risk?
Mild eczema is barely perceptible with little redness or thickening, while moderate shows obvious skin abnormalities; severe eczema involves widespread inflammation and often prescription treatment, which places babies at higher risk for peanut allergy.
