  • Too many ads

Great content and I’ve learned a lot from this podcast. Unfortunately, the content is only about 25% of the play time. The other 75% is ads. I respect that this is a free podcast and her work has value, but it really affects the listener experience. I’ve mostly stopped listening because of it.

  • My favorite BLW Podcast

I love this podcast so much! Katie is so helpful in the overwhelming world of feeding your baby. I had no idea how controversial some baby feeding things were until I started trying to feed my baby on my own. As she says Katie takes out “all the noise” and really makes it simple. I bought her 100 foods before 1 plan and it has made what was super overwhelming actually really fun! My 10 month old has already has 80 or so foods and he’ll definitely have 100+ by the time he’s one. Not only has he h... more

Non-toxic Household Cleaners that Actually Clean Food Mess with Branch Basics Co-Founder Allison Evans
Q: How do Branch Basics ingredients stay transparent and truly clean compared to competitors?
Allison explains that Branch Basics prioritizes human health and efficacy, uses chamomile as a natural preservative, and avoids preservatives like sodium benzoate or potassium sorbate that can irritate lungs or skin; the emphasis is on a fully disclosed ingredient list and avoidance of fragrance-based surprises.
Non-toxic Household Cleaners that Actually Clean Food Mess with Branch Basics Co-Founder Allison Evans
Q: What tips do you have for moms who want to move toward a more non-toxic lifestyle?
The core tip is to focus on removing toxins first—replace toxic products with safer options and, where possible, use products that are clearly labeled with complete ingredient lists. For ongoing practicality, start with the areas most used around babies and gradually expand; Branch Basics is presented as a model for replacing multiple cleaners with one concentrate.
HELP! My Baby has a Contact Rash from a New Food with Ron Sunog, MD
Q: How should parents handle a rash around the mouth after feeding a new food like tomatoes?
Remove the irritant, soothe the rash, observe, take a photo, and consult a pediatrician if uncertain; if it resolves, it's safe to reintroduce the food later.
HELP! My Baby has a Contact Rash from a New Food with Ron Sunog, MD
Q: What is the opposite of a contact rash in terms of what parents should worry about?
True food allergy signs include hives, swelling of lips or tongue, trouble breathing, vomiting, or systemic symptoms; otherwise, contact rash is usually irritation and not a true allergy, so parents should avoid overreacting and consider reintroducing once resolved.
