Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 7: From Sweden to the UK and Nigeria - An International Portfolio Career in Finance, Sports, and School Building
Q: How did your international experiences influence your perspective on education and development in Nigeria?
Exposure to multiple cultures underscored that education is a universal equalizer. Seeing the socio-economic challenges firsthand made me realize that a low-cost, well-supported school could transform lives, which inspired the Infinity Branch project and its scalable model.
Episode 7: From Sweden to the UK and Nigeria - An International Portfolio Career in Finance, Sports, and School Building
Q: What motivated you to pursue an executive MBA while building Infinity Branch and hosting a podcast?
The MBA was driven by a desire to expand my network beyond finance and to gain life skills that would help me run a charity more effectively. It also provided a framework to connect different parts of my life into a cohesive leadership approach.
Episode 3: From Tax Consulting in Australia and the U.S. to Fighting Anaemia in India - the Corporate-to-Impact Pivot
Q: How did you manage the transition from consultant to leader in a social impact organization, and what key lessons helped you scale Fortify Health?
Translating private-sector skills into the NGO space, focusing on KPIs, building a strong mentorship network, and adopting a for-profit-esque approach to execution while preserving social impact goals were pivotal; clear metrics and a CRM-driven funnel enabled scalable outreach and sustained engagement with partners like mills and policy makers.
Episode 3: From Tax Consulting in Australia and the U.S. to Fighting Anaemia in India - the Corporate-to-Impact Pivot
Q: What prompted the decision to pivot from a Deloitte career to the social sector, and how did you know it was the right move?
The decision grew out of a personal estrangement from the traditional success path and a realization that meaningful impact aligned with my values; data-driven development work, sparked by reading Poor Economics and mentorship, showed me a way to apply my skills to real-world outcomes, and Yale helped formalize that path.
Episode 2: Leading with Humanity - From Russian Journalist to Building Communities for 18 Global Airlines
Q: What was your crisis communication approach during COVID-19?
She emphasizes genuine intent from leadership, clear supportive messaging, and cross-functional collaboration to keep people informed and cared for, which helped sustain engagement and continuity.
