Sometimes watching was better than playing and in this case, li... more

Q: You can have any gaming setup you want. So Sam, your first choice for the island would be?
Sam chooses The Secret of Monkey Island on Amiga, explaining his fondness for the classic point‑and‑click adventure, its story with Guybrush Threepwood, and how the interface and humor made it a standout, especially given the lack of internet back then.
Kevin Bayliss interview (Rare legend)
Q: Can I talk about Battletoads for a little bit? Because Battletoads is an iconic series of games. It's regarded actually as one of the hardest games on the NES. But what was that like? Did you have full control designing these characters? Or was it your responsibility to come up with these characters and what not?
As I mentioned, those frogs and toads in my back garden, we wanted something which was going to be our flagship character. So I took, and I did karate myself with my friend, and then we all thought after playing International Karate Plus and Whaley Exploding Fist, that we were International Karate Plus characters. And then I thought, well, I'll call these guys the Amphibians.
