  • I love how even difficult to understand topics are explained in a simple easy to follow way. Also it’s very helpful that every episode he presents data, history, and/or scripture. To back up everything he says and give us something we can go study on our own. This podcast is truly doing God’s work and spreading His truth.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Did Jesus Go Preach in Hell?
Q: Did Jesus preach in hell, and does that imply evangelism there?
The discussion notes that the Greek word used in 1 Peter 3:19 for 'preached' is a form meaning proclamation rather than Gospel preaching, suggesting it was a proclamation of victory rather than a salvation invitation in that location.
Did Jesus Go Preach in Hell?
Q: What happened during the interval between Good Friday and Easter Sunday?
The episode explains that Jesus descended to the place of the dead (Hades), led the righteous out of that intermediate state and into the Lord's presence, proclaimed victory over death, and thereby fulfilled prophetic psalms and New Testament writings, while not offering a second chance for salvation to the damned.
How to Pray with Spiritual Seekers
Q: how should we pray for those who are seeking to receive the Holy Spirit? what are some best practices in those situations?
The answer emphasizes discernment of the seeker's readiness, avoiding force or manipulation, guiding them to confess repentance and express faith in Jesus, and supporting an organic experience of worship and willing speech as the Holy Spirit moves, with practical steps like coaching them to repent aloud, inviting prayer, and ensuring the seeker remains in a supportive, non-coercive environment.
Is God the Father Also the Son?
Q: How would a first-century Jew have understood Jesus' claim to be one with the Father?
They would have seen it as a claim of deity, not an assertion of a second divine person; the concept of a Trinity was not present, so Jesus' unity was understood within God's identity as the one God rather than as two separate persons.
Is God the Father Also the Son?
Q: Why is the term Son tied to incarnation rather than eternity in Oneness theology?
Because Jesus is described as being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of Mary, making Him a true human being in whom God dwelt; the term 'Son' marks God's manifestation in flesh, not an eternal second person.
