  • The Ums!!

Could not get through the first episode because of all the ums and ahs. For heaven’s sake if you are going to do a podcast, write yourself a script. The information was fine but it’s terrible to listen to.

  • Unique and Smart

This is THE SHOW for you if you like biographies. If you do, you will be immersed in all kinds of old Hollywood bio's that interweave and suddenly connect. You can't really tell a good story of a life without narration, and thats what you get from Karina Longworth. Its kind of like when your teacher in elementary school reads the class a chapter from a great book and you get to put your head down and relax. Enjoy!

  • 'ummmm' ummmm' 'ummmm' ummmm'

Sorry, I was looking forward to subject but sadly could not cope with Danielle's 'ummmm' ummmm' ummmm' the whole way through - real pity. total opposite experience to 'You must remember this' which is so listenable.

  • Horribly boring presentation

Your podcast reminds me of listening to book reports that were required to be read aloud in junior high English class. When I read the descriptions of your podcasts that focus on women's careers in film and not the gossip that surrounded them, I was intrigued and interested. However, I couldn't make it past ten minutes of listening to this poorly-presented production. Surely, anyone committing to do a podcast would try to make it interesting. At least edit your goofs, add some natural inflection... more

  • Hope there's more!

I found this looking for programs on Dorothy Arzner and wasn't disappointed. A Starship Sofa for women in golden age Hollywood. No dates on the podcasts. Hope there are more to come.
