A nonbinary magical runner with a passion for marathons who ends up crossing inter-dimensional portals when their terrible sense of direction leads them on unplanned detours. Literally. It’s such a nuisance when that happens during a race! But no worries: if they complete running those 42,195 km, they’ll come home. Of course, things are never quite as easy.

I LOVE this podcast! Every world the runner finds themself teleported to is unique and fun and challenging in its own way. And I love how the runner grows and starts to talk more to people there! I also really love how it never gets explained that they went running again (as far as I remember)... it kind of makes it all feel soothing in a way? The vibe of the podcast is calm and hopeful and I don't think a single episode has a cliffhanger or bad ending. Overall this is a huge comfort show for me... more
This show is really fun! I adore the runner and the weird situations they end up in, and I'm intrigued by these inter-dimensional portals, too. The runner is really relatable and I love listening to them narrate their travels. This show is oddly soothing to listen to, and I like it a lot!
Five Episodes In: This episodic narrative Audio Drama with a cool LGBT edge pairs something the author seems very familiar with ... running marathons ... with the completely unknown ... fantasy trips to very different worlds. The main character must use her wits and charisma, creativity, and a bit of magic to survive. There are sound effects and good dialog editing, but some of the voice work sounds a bit tinny (doesn’t detract much, but some listeners can be very picky about those things). I wi... more
Well written, unique, and something we listen to when we're on our own journeys. Love this podcast.
When I get lost, I just lose time. When the main character of this show gets lost, they explore strange alternate dimensions! A testament to world building and packed details, this show will take you on a journey to some truly amazing places.
There are very few original stories being told, that's what they say, but even if it's true - this one is on that list! A parallel universes story told by a long-distance runner - stories, I should say, because the runner and the need to run the race is the only common element so far. And I hope it stays that way, because it has the gentle, fantastic quality of shows like Far Meridian, where the adventure is all about discovering the richness of each new world. I want to learn them all, and I *h... more
