As I said before I do think I have done all that I could with the podcast. I hate that it had to end, but I was going to take it into a realm that I think most people would have hated. Over the last year a lot of people have contacted me, stating the... more
Simon's steady beat
Missing the sounds of the generator and maybe other sounds. I feel that this took Simon to far out of his world. I post it here so that you all can decide if this was to far or not. Simon isn't dead, his just not doing so good. We... more
this needs to be fixt or taken off itunes
When this first started, I was an avid listener, hungry for any decent zombie podcasts. But, as I got into it, I started not being able to download it. Thought it was a problem with my computer or internet connection. So, I tried dowloading straight to my iPhone. Well, it seems that the author made some type of changes. Now the podcast in incompatible with my phone!
All I can say is somebody dropped the ball on this one! You've excluded a major portion of your target audience based on, of all ... more
But, that's the problem. This podcast will not download.
My problem with Among the Dead is that the main character is shallow, not particularly intelligent, and just uninteresting. I listened to a couple dozen episodes, hoping the storytelling would improve. No such luck. I gave up when Simon killed and ate the dog. in the writer's defense, a podcast like this is not a money-making venture, and the amount of time he has to devote to developing the story and characters may be limited. I'm a big fan of the genre, but I don't think Among the Dead holds u... more
last time i checked were not dead........... oh wait theres adead kid walking at me, yup were all screwred
Sounds pretty weak
I like it. It has the unrehearsed quality of a guy at the moment speaking his mind. Not sure if it's on purpose or not so good writing, but it works.
Great show and great concept. Follow Simon's tale of the zompocalypse, as told through his audio journal. You'll get a good sense of exactly what is going through Simon's head as he slowly breaks down and tries to continue on in a world everyone else has given up on.
dont stop now i need to know what happen to simon! is he alone is he in a building? is he out of the city what happens!!
A wonderful concept! Very well done! The only negative I have is that the story has ended but is not complete. There is so much you can do with a podcast or concept like this! Very original and very entertaining. Wish there were more coming...
It's not bad. It's clearly an amateur production, what I would actually call a bedroom production. And the voice acting/storyline isn't that great. Still it's a good effort, and should be appreciated. Well worth the listen.
This is a departure from you regular (?) zombie podcast. It is not stylized as a radio drama. It is not an author reading his/her book. It is the diary of a survivor of a zombie apocolypse, recorded on a digital voice recorder. Were such a thing to happen, I think that it would be more like this than a bunch of cool head shots from people who have probably never held a gun. I went through the entire podcast in about two days, only because my fiance and her kids kept talking to me. This is addic... more
...but the story kinda fell apart after the jump to the 200s. I kinda don't care about Sandy anymore and he seems less lucid as the story continues. Still, I was riveted up to day 65.
Good concept, but the delivery fails. I would suggest reading your script with more passion. It is just not believable. Perhaps this can be a practice podcast and your next one will kick a*$.
Wow, that was great! So creepy, and I liked the intimacy of just the character and the tape recorder. And the ending....oh my gosh! Great work!
