One of the challenges of modern legal journalism is recalling that case law, doctrine, and Supreme Court decisions aren’t a complete picture, without including the lived realities of the people whose lives and communities are often turned upside down... more
The Supreme Court’s Republican-appointed justices seem to be in a big rush to dismantle voting rights for non-white people. On Tuesday night, the right-wing supermajority handed down an unsigned shadow docket order that greenlights racial gerrymander... more

First rule of womens fight clubs across the world: Don’t argue or debate with men about abortion. Men go through none of the physical issues with abortion or a pregnancy. Mens voices should be silent yet women with power have allowed them to once again control us and note for the record, I am not a male hater. control over my own body without meddling and legal coercion to steal my rights to my body is wrong. Mens voices on the abortion issue is absurd and we have to stop them having the control... more
Has annoying clips...
This was my “Ride or Die” podcast for so long - back when the Supreme Court was (mostly) independent. Now it’s mostly painful to listen to; literally and figuratively (Norm Eisen, Biden apologist?!?). Will not delete because some of the most interesting cases have been dissected on this show.
But slate is now obsessed with dragging Lindy West as much as possible to cling to relevance and it’s really sad. I didn’t even like her book that much but I don’t think that it’s a good look for slate to be treating her like she’s evil because they don’t think she’s okay with her polyamorous situation. They might be right but I don’t think she deserves what they are doing to her. And slate hasn’t been good since Danny Lavery left anyway.
Excellent discussion, thank you!

A sharp, issue-driven legal show that dissects Supreme Court actions, voting rights, and civil liberties through rigorous analysis, expert guests, and timely casework. Across episodes, the hosts unpack shadow docket decisions, elections integrity, abortion rights, and how courts intersect with politics and media, often linking historic rulings to current developments.
