Lorraine McNab and Peter Sopow are gunned down outside Lorraine’s home near Pincher Creek, Alberta. Their bodies are found 36 hours later. Lorraine's family speaks for the first time about what happened that day.
The police arrive at Lorraine’s property, looking for Peter after he fails to show up for work. A howling wind hampers their investigation. We talk to former RCMP officers who worked the case.
This was no random murder. Police say Peter and Lorraine knew their killer. But who was the target - a lifetime RCMP officer or a kindergarten teacher with a bad relationship in her past?
In the months before she was murdered, Lorraine McNab was getting a lot unwanted phone calls, but were they anything more than a persistent suitor? And why was a red sports car parked at the end of a country road the night before the murders?

Slow burner that peters out. No investigation done into the RCMP suspect, almost like they found that part of the story out after producing the podcast.
I was pretty disappointed. There was nothing to this story other than what was already discovered when it happened. Pretty lame.
This is a classic storytelling podcast with no real point. It explains the story and possible perpetrators yet gives nothing further. I don’t get it. Wikipedia could have provided the same info.
As a member of law enforcement I had never heard of this story. It is heartbreaking and look forward to one day hearing a positive resolution to this crime. Thanks for covering this story CBC.
I enjoyed the podcast very much. Thank you.
