Biggest loser ep: “but you don’t have to talk about that. I will”. Haha I love Kathleen.
I’ve been listening for awhile and I love how she mentions potential blind spots or missed opportunities her guests failed to discuss in their own shows, without calling them out. Like mentioning the ‘angry black woman’ trope in this latest episode. As much as I liked the biggest loser tv documentary, I was surprised they didn’t discuss that.
Another reason why I loath “reality” TV and never watch it.
The latest episode is about The Queen of Canada and I have yet to listen to the whole series.
Other than that, I never miss an episode but this latest episode will have to stay in the catalogue a little longer
I love that over time, I’ve really gotten the sense that the host is both an absolute sucker for a wild story (who among us?) AND a thoughtful person with a deep, nerdy, appreciation for the crafts of crime reporting and storytelling. Her conversations with people who share the latter traits are the best, and I really enjoy listening. Thanks for being such a great interviewer!
Spent most the episode downplaying the actions of the murderers, bordering on making excuses for them. Did not dig into the failure of justice that was their sweetheart deals - no prison time in the sentence.
