A tragic story where a teenager was pushed into a horrific situation, one that never should have escalated the way it did. Multiple adults who should have known better kept fuelling it until there was no return. And when I say adults, I mean everyone involved: the murdered and their friends, the police, emergency communications, and the people who watched these people get drunk and did nothing.

Excellently told podcast - thank you Adam. I really enjoyed it but it also left me somewhat frustrated by the parents of the deceased men. If they were such good guys why did they break into the home of Dean and confront him? Of course he acted in self defence what’s more to explain? Dean should never be held accountable🤞🏻. The police and medical staff are entirely responsible. And the lady taking Deans call for help is the number one culprit for the deaths! 🤭 Please Adam if there is any more... more
This is all so ridiculous. Maybe don’t break into someone’s home and stop acting like your sons were so perfect when if they cared so much and just wanted to help Candace why didn’t they call the police before causing drama. Good on dean, he is the one let down in this whole situation. He protected Candace and hid home! Yes police should have responded but bottom line they traumatised dean from the moment that they wouldn’t leave his property and the ambos should have cameras on vehicles to have... more
Sensationalist opinion piece with a clear mandate. I was interested in learning the facts and persisted but it was ruined by the presenters partisan view. Witnesses appear hand picked to support the presenters confirmation bias.

This podcast investigates a tragic incident in a quiet Queensland town where a chaotic night led to the deaths of two men following an NRL Grand Final party. It explores the aftermath of the event, including the alleged missteps of emergency responders and the legal implications of the case, which remains unresolved years later.
