Quality performances derived from a story line that is compelling and engaging.
This is a high calibre production. The talented performers bring each character with their complex set of foibles and métier vividly to life
Highly recommended
Sleep paralysis is an interesting story premise. This show has you fully immersed in each & every episode ; a totally addictive audio drama.
All in my head - highlights a serious sleeping disorder that affects thousands of people globally. A disorder that can be perceived as a medical abnormality or a supernatural phenomena. There is strong evidence for both theories Though this is a fictional work , this condition isn’t. I can’t help but think this terrible affliction which is often terrifyin... more
I really like the audio drama in this - and how the story has unfolded. A bit disappointed to see it has continued and been left on a cliff hanger
FABULOUS JOB!!! I LOVE YOUR SHOW!!!! AMAZING! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
I can’t believe that yall wrote the scream into the plot, making Nova’s scream what closes the spirit door. I just can’t believe the writers said “you know what we don’t have enough of/what we think the listeners want to hear more of? The main character screaming.” I have to continually keep turning the volume up and down to deal with it. It’s so obnoxious and frankly unbelievable that anyone heard this final product and said YUP good enough, we’re done.”
I loved this one! I wish it had more seasons!
I binged the whole 2 seasons in two days and I cannot handle the cliffhanger. Been researching, trying to figure out if there will ever be more? In pain, halp!
Very gripping and emotional. I binged both seasons in one go. But I had to deduct a star for the advertisements. When a 17 min Episode has about 7 minutes of ads it just ... Yeah. It's kinda disruptive. Otherwise well produced though! The sound production during the sleep paralysis gave me the shivers!
Great podcast but the repetitive scream gets irritating and is sort of obnoxious and off putting. Maybe cut to the next scene before the scream.
It’s rare for a podcast to truly terrify me. Famous horror shows like The Magnus Archives creep me out, but this show makes my skin crawl, my heart pound, and my throat close up. A lot of that can be credited to the amazing voice actress portraying Nova. They puts their heart into each episode, and the anguish in their voice is amazingly horrifying. I’m only on the third episode, but the mental health horror really drew me in. This is how to make a mental health horror story- not asylums, but th... more
I’m really enjoying this story, and I highly recommend it. At first I was thrown off by the pacing but the payoff is worth it since this is meant to be a slow burn. I like that we’re sticking with characters, and it’s a cool supernatural story.
Knocking a star off because this is an audio medium a lot of people are listening through headphones. Stop. Screaming. As. A. Power.
This was a problem with a character in Super Ordinary, too. I’m not sure how you listen to podcasts but seriously...
Whoever voiced the main character is a terrible actress. The constant over dramatic breathing and shaking voice is completely unconvincing. Cool concept, but they need a less insufferable lead
So worth a listen to Nova & her nightmares & the worlds & she inhabits & the secondary characters are a perfect fit.
Hanging out for the next season, more, more, more please🙏.
One minute in I had to turn on all the lights in my house! This audio drama grabs you and then hides behind every corner. Do not listen alone!
A well produced show with outstanding performances. Highly recommended.
This terrifying sleep disorder affects Nova every night and it has become extremely debilitating.
After years of seeking health care support, little to no progress has been made. Desperate for answers & ideally a cure she commences treatment with a new therapist. She hopes this is the one that will help to make a breakthrough. As she tries to hang on to her sanity, there is a brief episode of improvement. This encouragin... more
