  • Gospel-centered; Easy to listen to, encouraging and practical!

Not only will listeners get updates on Wake Forest athletics with Alabama athletics sprinkled rather heavily in as well, but they will be edified by Anna and Cameron’s candid conversations around current and timeless parenting concerns. Scripture is a foundation always yet they always remember to make it practical and relatable for parents. I listen with a smile on my face, audible laughter at times and by the end, tears in my eyes as Anna and Cameron once again point me to Jesus Christ-my only ... more

I’m a student pastor at my church and send out a weekly update of what is happening in the ministry. Part of that email is a parent resource that helps equip parents to disciple their student. The Rooted Parent Podcast is always one I send out when it drops!

  • What I needed to hear!

This was my first time listening and I will definitely listen again. I tuned in to the podcast about not blaming yourself or taking credit for your child’s behavior. It was such an encouragement to me while raising 2 boys. It was also convicting because I have been guilty of assuming bad behavior in a child comes from bad parenting.

  • Good content…too much banter.

When I take the time to listen to a podcast that is marketed as a help or guidance for parents, that’s what I’m tuning in to listen to. With this one, what I got was the first 5 -7 minutes of banter between the hosts. Maybe it is expected from the long time listeners, but as a first time listener who is looking for resources personally and to share with parents in my sphere, this was a big miss. Give the listener a reason to stay and listen from the very beginning. Too many other options for me ... more
