I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this podcast. I’ve always loved Alison’s music, but this has been a real joy to learn more about her life. Love her latest album Key too.
Just finished listening to this podcast. What a great format - bite-size chunks focussing on all the highlights of Alison’s long and interesting career but in in their entirety giving plenty of space to focus on the ups and downs and detail of those key minutes and otherness of this intriguing singer’s life. Would love to hear other career interviews in this format.
A thoughtful, emotional funny and nostalgic walk through 40 years of one of the most treasured artists.
This podcast made me laugh out loud and towards the end I did have a small cry.
Wonderful
listening to Alison Moyet speak about the history of her songs and why she chose them is amazing to listen to Little snippets little behind the scenes that make the songs even more interesting. her amazing sense of humor, and all the swearing included, make this something very unique and very special and something that every musician should be doing when they release new material or rework old songs for the modern age the songs, all 16 of them, have been given a modernized treatment that made t... more

Brilliant! Frank, honest, funny, snarky and down to earth! What an inspiration and great role model for strong women and girls Alison is!!
I’ve been a fan of Alison’s work for over 40 years - both solo and as a member of Yazoo - but as a US fan, we didn’t often get to see her or hear from her on TV or in the press (as often happened with so many UK acts) so I’ve loved getting a chance to hear about her journey as a solo artist. It’s also been great to get a real sense of her in these episodes - her sense of humor and non-nonsense outlook on life, and her frank observations about the music industry. It’s been great to hear these epi... more
This Podcast is a wonderful walk down memory lane. Key was just released on Apple and it is simply SUBLIME! Thank you for both.
So interesting to hear such detailed information from Alison herself, who is honest and genuine (and you swear all you want to!!). Sad to be getting to the end of the series.
What a gift for fans and all music lovers to hear an artist talk about 40 moments in a solo career that spans 4 decades. I think it helps that Alison Moyet knows and implicitly trusts Steve Coates-Dennis that she reveals as much as she does. A podcast like no other, true to Alison’s preternatural way to skip a predictable square on a hopscotch outline, this is extraordinarily insightful, heart-breaking, flinching, joyful, rebellious, clever, dismantling and courageous. Exquisite and revelatory.... more
Brilliant podcast down to earth no music paper rubbish just as it is
I’ve been a fan of Alison since day 1. I love hearing her recount things and get her perspective which in turn reveals the type of artist and person she is. Bravo for putting this together. Living in the states we don’t hear much about Alison. This makes me feel just a little bit closer to her. xo
Fabulous podcast love Alison's humour, honesty and the insight she gives you into the record industry
Alison shares incredible stories about her 40+ year career, we learn along the way, about her amazing journey as a “pop” star from past Yazoo history with Vince Clarke to her current upcoming solo release, KEY. KEY, unlike most greatest hits collections, offers updated and reworked version from her back catalog and she has added two new songs.

Thankyou so much for this podcast .. What an amazing way to share 40 years of Alison’s wonderful and varied career 👍.. I’ve only listened to the first two and I’m already in awe of her raw honesty and individuality and can already see why she is the biggest jewel 💎 in the crown of pop royalty and how her otherness has enabled her to create some of the most poetic , heart wrenching , tear jerking songs that we all know and love today, and the fact that Alison embraces her otherness and wears it... more
