Bite-sized teachings that deserve reflection and time to ponder. But why the distracting and irritating background music that’s too loud to be background music?
In this one, the editing makes Alan Watts saying the exact opposite of what he meant. I'm sure it's just a mistake and the rest of this work (editing of Watts' speeches) is great. Thanks a lot
There is absolutely no need to add distracting background music to his lectures
Alan Watts’ sprawling hour-plus long speeches are not to be found here. Someone has sliced and diced the truth into little soundbites and dressed it up in tinkly precious music. He would be incredulous. You cannot truly understand a scarab beetle if you study it outside the desert. You cannot cut out each individual letter from the book the Bhagavad Gita, place them in a great heaping pile and tell people to read. What a horror.
Alan Watts’s words are gold. What’s the background music for? What purpose does it serve? Absolutely unnecessary and distracting.
