  • Excellent resource

Jane provides such an incredibly affirming glimpse into our lives - without condescending or attempting to prove her expertise in anything neurodivergent, Jane presents a really inclusive and safe, multi faceted, nuanced podcast that shines light on our shred our realities. Without shying away from the scary, raw and unfiltered ‘hard’ parts of our experiences Jane has managed to create a space to feel pride and contentment and maybe even a chance to be excited by what others might not realise ar... more

  • Very helpful!

A podcast that explains and reflects, in a very relatable and personable way, my own experience with ADHD. It’s very affirming to realise you’re not actually alone in these experiences!

For example, this podcast is the first time I have heard my personal experience with meditation explained - panic followed by disassociation (for me it’s a feeling of the world being “unreal” or that I’m in a waking dream), as well as some simple things that might help.

Thank you for this and other insights!

  • Support and Validation in a Podcast

This podcast has helped me immensely as a mother and a person. Somehow the episode I open each time I listen resonates my current struggles and personal experiences. There are gold nuggets of information that you truely connect with and make you feel truely seen.

I have learned how to better understand my kids, myself, how to advocate better and how to take better care of myself.

If you are a burnt out Mum with kids who are neurodiverse this is for you.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

104. When a Neuroscientist Says iPads Cause ADHD — And You Wonder if You've Damaged Your Kids with Amanda Moses
Q: How should researchers and media presenters handle big claims about ADHD and screens?
They should present evidence transparently, provide receipts, acknowledge limits, and avoid sweeping generalizations that could stigmatize or mislead families.
104. When a Neuroscientist Says iPads Cause ADHD — And You Wonder if You've Damaged Your Kids with Amanda Moses
Q: What is your take on the claim that digital use causes ADHD?
There is not strong evidence to support a causal link from screens to ADHD; the literature shows a complex, bi-directional relationship where ADHD traits may lead to more screen use and vice versa, but it does not establish screens as the primary cause.
101. RE-RELEASE: When You Stop Your ADHD Meds for the Baby — And the Pram Rolls Across the Car Park with Rodney Whyte
Q: Are women able to take or continue ADHD medication whilst pregnant?
He notes the lack of definitive studies in pregnancy, describes general safety (no strong links to birth defects for traditional stimulants) but cautions about interuterine growth and prematurity risks, and emphasizes individual risk-benefit analysis with prescribers.
101. RE-RELEASE: When You Stop Your ADHD Meds for the Baby — And the Pram Rolls Across the Car Park with Rodney Whyte
Q: Firstly, how did you get into this area?
Rodney explains that the demand for medicines information in ADHD has exploded, especially with adults and perinatal populations, and his long career has given him a broad view across pregnancy, breastfeeding, and women's health.
100. When You Know School Isn't Working — And You're Still Waiting for Permission to Leave with Rebecca English
Q: What are the most common experiences of families who decide to exit mainstream schooling?
The venn diagram of school-cannot-children-to-homeschooling shows groups who are truly unable to cope due to anxiety or neurodiverse traits, along with those who feel school does not fit and may seek a more bespoke education pathway.
