Last two podcasts with Shelly Lazarus and Jeff Goodby were home runs! Wondering if the theme music is original to the podcast or is it commercially available?

  • Marketing Magic!

Ad Age and their incredible guests talk all things advertisement, not only providing insight we wouldn't have otherwise, but also giving businesses the tools they need to get hands-on with their own marketing. The best part is it all comes from truly engaging individuals that know the industry inside and out. Thanks so much for putting out such a spectacular show Ad Age - keep up the great work!

  • Don’t see the Lib in Ad Lib

Full disclosure, I’ve only listened to one episode so take this as you will, but the interview with Vox sounded more like unchallenged talking points read from a press release than an unguarded, casual jargon-free conversation. Ad Age has a long successful history and I want to see them succeed but I would suggest to either adjust the name to reflect what this is or truly dig and challenge their guests.

AI is all over earnings calls. AI ROI isn't, with Garett Sloane
Q: What would indicate that agentic ad buying has arrived at scale?
Widespread cross-platform agentic buying with interoperable standards, multiple agencies using MCP connections to major ad networks, and measurable, scalable campaigns beyond isolated pilots.
Will the AI marketing bubble burst? | Catch Up
Q: What's the biggest overhype in ad tech that you're suspicious of right now?
The hype around an all-encompassing AI platform dominating advertising, with open AI vs. Google Gemini as competing forces, and a need to watch how these platforms actually scale and monetize real-world campaigns.
Will the AI marketing bubble burst? | Catch Up
Q: All right, what would be the one thing a marketer should start digging in on right now to turn this conversation into action?
Focus on AI search strategy and practical shelf-based implications, because the shelf is becoming the new battleground with AI-powered store experiences like the NBA store chatbot.
The consumer trends marketers can't ignore this fall, with Erika Wheless
Q: Erika, if you were to talk to a CMO right now, what is the one thing they should act on from the three trends we discussed?
Prioritize physical ownership around media and tangible brand reminders, but tailor the object to create a shareable, memorable experience tied to the brand; this helps bridge the gap between a consumer's everyday life and an in-store or in-theater moment.

Q: How are small agencies redefining their client offerings this year?
Agencies are leveraging a mix of social-first thinking, influencer and experiential work, and more integrated teams (pods) to deliver holistic campaigns. They're moving away from traditional billable hours toward value-based or output-based pricing and demonstrating ROI through tangible outcomes.
