A room where the art, and the artist, feel perfectly at home. A conversation on starts. An exploration of the Calder Tower at the National Gallery in D.C.
great storytelling. loved it.
It’s beautifully made and makes an intimidating subject more welcoming and approachable than many sources. If you have an interest in art (or want to but have been intimidating to dive in) give Accession a listen.
I just met Ponders at a panel he was on at Podcast Movement and was intrigued at the concept. I listened to the episode on Night and was blown away. Incredibly immersive, intimate, with gorgeous writing and highly technical sound design. Can’t wait to listen to the rest!
I’m always learning something new from this podcast. Can’t wait for Season 2 which is going to give us a cross-country look at museums while exploring the theme of “Home.”
Accession is a lovely, warm invitation into the art world. Excellent sound design and editing. The host is enthusiastic and engaging. A must for anyone who loves art, or who wants to but hasn’t because it seems too elitist
T.H. Ponders makes studying art enjoyable. If you’ve never taken an interest in art or art history, or find it to be a bore, listening to his podcasts makes you completely rethink that outlook. Ponders has a passion for art that emanates through his recordings. Take a listen and you’ll see why many of us agree that this is an excellent podcast.
Awesome podcast that makes you want to listen to another episode and then another! Learn something new every time you push play.
This show is absolutely amazing. Beautiful sound design, and I got a surprising feeling of storytelling. I would highly recommend this show!
Every episode gets me to think more critically about the art discussed and has broadened my horizons to new types of art. Excellent podcast!
If you enjoyed the The Memory Palace MET residency pieces you’ll love this podcast. If you enjoy watching Sister Wendy you’ll love this podcast. Even if you have no idea what I’m talking about (The Memory Palace or Sister Wendy) I’m sure you’ll love this podcast. Every episode is a beautiful piece of audio art.
I’ve really enjoyed listening to this podcast. I always thought I didn’t like Shakespeare, but this pod had convinced me that I was wrong. Can’t wait for the next episode!
This show is wonderful. It’s got a great concept. You get a little bit of art history, some personal journals, and several little tidbits of human connection that weave in and out of the pleasant descriptions of various paintings. Plus, the music is also both appropriate and soothing for the listen. Great for an overcast day. Or any day.
Accession helped me understand art and how little details can change the meaning of an entire piece. I was able to find deeper meaning in these pieces through this podcast. A podcast not to miss out on.
This podcast is incredible and he has an amazing voice!
The adventurous nature of this show hooked me from the beginning. It's fun, creative, and the concept rules. Especially the idea that I could actually GO to one of the places! I probably won't, but looking at the art pre / during the episode is a great way to supplment the audio.
