This week, we look at the forgotten 1994 action flick The Shadow and find a surprisingly fun little romp, studded with absolute stars like Alec Baldwin, Penelope Ann Miller, Tim Curry, a young Ian McKellen, John Ione, Sab Shimono, Koop, Neelix, Bob t... more

One moment Mike and Ethan will spend minutes debating what went through Charles Schulz’s head when he came up with the joke about Beethoven coming in spray cans, a few minutes later they’ll be naming anime dogs they think can kill you with their farts. The most normal podcast I’ve ever regularly listened to.
Would you listen to these nerds?? With such a narrow focus (animated adaptions of newspaper comics??!), it’s amazing that they find such a depth to dive to every week. And even when there truly isn’t much to say about a show, they’ll just invent something better on the spot to entertain you. This show is pure chewing satisfaction!
I don’t know where this podcast has been all my podcast-listening life, but I’m happy I found it.
A must-listen for every 1980s kid whose parents recorded every TV special and crammed them all on blank VHS tapes that were watched over and over again.
Sooo…. It’s a podcast dissecting old TV specials based on comicstrips. If that even remotely sounds like your cup of tea, then you’ll probably love it. The hosts perfectly match the quirk of the subject matter. Fun is had! Plus, it’s got one of the best podcast titles ever (Bonus!).
