前陣子看到英國的高等教育領域大裁員，讓我想起這本讓我不敢讀博士班的《兼任下流》。書中是深入書寫美國高等教育教職的就職現況，擔任兼任（adjunct）超過10年仍無法被吸納為正職，薪水只等同於其他Senior職稱工作薪水的一半，有者甚至最後無法負擔癌症治療而離世。

前幾天久違地逛了KLCC的海外華文書市，逛完的心得是選書實在很難挑起我的購買興趣。如果比較高中逛茨廠街大眾書局，以及大學時期逛台北國際書展，會覺得這次書展實在太水了，許多擺出來賣的書，水到讓人覺得書市崩跌毫不意外，因為這樣的內容實在太容易被chatgpt取代。
既然來到海外華文書市，就想要看看過去曾經工作的出版社攤位。結果我們曾經認為很抗跌的書種，攤位也很小，崛起的是以個人IP掛帥的書本。這讓我覺得難道現今的購書行為消費行為當中，書展已經不重要了嗎？於是到台灣文策院的報告找答案。
