A clever teenage journalist comically recounts the events that lead to a beloved member of her community tragically dying in a freak, plague-related accident the week before Passover. Think Sliding Doors in a modern orthodox North Jersey community.

Eva and the crew have created an engaging story, told in a unique way with multiple side stories, rewinds and flashbacks. Love the juxtaposition of how light-hearted the story and humour is with the constant death and bad things happening.
Eva truly has a keen sense of giving each character their own voice and creating a story that keeps you coming back for more. Each episode is exciting and engaging with twists and turns at every chance. She captures the scene in a way that your imagination perfectly paints the events before your eyes. Brava Eva, cast and crew!
This is such a charming podcast! Love the narrator's performance so much.
So entertaining and well written! You’ll definitely enjoy it and want more
I don't think the Sliding Doors gimmick ended up justifying itself since the show keeps jumping around and whatever alternate timeline you're supposed to be observing doesn't play itself out in a way that matters. Putting that aside, the comedic wit on display here is sharp as a tack, and Shoshana's dilemma is explored with nuance, making this a definite recommend.
I love a plucky young female protagonist as much (if not more) than the next human, so I was immediately caught up in the story and characters in A Place Called Fairneck. Great voice acting, fun jokes, excellent use of sound to create the world of the story, and constant references to avocado egg rolls that make me hungry all of the time (but I won’t dock it a star for that). Definitely recommend!
This is the best podcast. I love the voices and the story. Eva is incredible. Thank you for this awesome awesome podcast.❤️
I was listening on Instagram and couldn’t resist its cute yet somehow Douglas Adams, Hitchikers guide type feel. Love the unique story, the quick editing and sassy narration. Subscribed and hooked listener here!
