I have no background in linguistics but Danny always brings out from his guest whatever is interesting in a language in a way that anyone can understand. It sounds like a friendly chat between friends which is relaxing and enjoyable
Really well made podcast that strikes the right balance between detailed language content and being accessible to a wider audience

Iâm fascinated by languages and language history, and this podcast is a thoroughly delightful way to geek out. In a shouty and often divisive world, host Danny, with his gentle voice, and his guests share their love and passion for a basic human quality we all share. Besides learning about languages I havenât heard of, my take away is that our languages and their histories show we are more connected than separated.
