Really eclectic mix of guests (not the usual podcast treadmill!). Lovely, relaxed chat (Olly has a great way of putting guests at ease) and always interesting hearing about the different drinks. Have picked up many a bottle after listening to an episode.
Such an uplifting podcast. Always a pleasure to listen to Olly getting some great stories out of people most memorable drinks.
You can tell his guests actually enjoy being on his show because who else would be better to have a glass with? Great commentary on wine with fun conversations
...it’s a deceptively simple pitch but Olly’s natural curiosity, charm and intelligence always brings out something you didn’t know about his celebrity guests. And thanks to the wine (or beer or whiskey) you’re never quite sure where the conversation is heading next.
Love love love this show! The boozy banter is reliably hilarious and revealing. Olly is the consummate interviewer. Puts a smile on my face without fail!
BUT... that bell transitional sound is just not the right sound. It’s very shrill and aggressive on top of being quite loud. I’m caught up listening to a beautiful conversation and BING BANG BOOOOM LOL. Just makes me lunge for the volume control and by the time I get there I’m too late
Such a great listen. Olly lifts one spirits always.
Such a fun podcast to listen to at all times of the day, always look forward to the next episode!
This podcast is so entertaining and easy to listen to. I learn stuff and find it fun.
Always seem to learn a lot about people, more than in a standard interview. Loads of fun and some great characters, and the episodes seem to fly by
We all know Olly knows a thing or two about wine. But he also knows a lot about chat.
This is very good chat. Light, sunny and funny
Give it a blast!
Really engaging chat, always makes me smile and I always find out something about the guests that I never knew before.
Just love everything about it!
I listened after the six series had been recorded, picking celebrities as I fancied. Sam Neil, Dawn French excellent. But, I noticed a couple of series 6 episodes had guests who were all working with P&O cruises, which Olly does. P&O sponsor the series as well. It’s all a bit of a Big Advert. Spoilt a good podcast.
Absolutely love Olly and the podcast; he’s a natural interviewer and completely unsnobbish about the world of wine. Makes me want to start buying better and learn more. Thanks for hours of fun...I think my one-year-old even recognises the theme tune! Angela
