These are such incredible topics for designers! Building w/o being chronically online, why changing your opinion is a strength, why you’re stuck no matter how much you learn, such a great mix of empowering stories and actionable tips. And not necessarily the typical topics you’d think of when you think “I want to learn more about design”. There’s so many other areas to think about besides your skill level!

  • So good!

I wasn’t much of a podcast listener, in fact I’m very new to this and I’m trying to get into a habit of listening to educational topics and ones I’m interested in. Absolutely love listening to Robin. The confession and guest episodes are great and the flow is amazing, I throughly enjoy listening and learning! Thank you for covering awkward topics that no one talks about! 🫶

  • THE podcast for beginner designers and creatives

as a beginner designer and creative whose goal is to deviate away from a corporate career, i can’t recommend this podcast enough to those in the same boat 🌟

it offers such a raw and authentic POV of what it’s like navigating the creative space as a new designer, which you don’t always find in designer podcasts!!

Why Instagram Views & Likes Don't Matter with Trent Duffy
Q: Do you think video content and being on camera is essential for growth, or can designers succeed without it?
Not at all; you can build a strong client base through portfolio work and process-focused content without necessarily appearing on camera, though videos can help for some people depending on their comfort.
Why Instagram Views & Likes Don't Matter with Trent Duffy
Q: How did your posting strategy evolve from early posts to attracting bigger clients like Dude Perfect?
I shifted from posting everything to posting what I genuinely enjoyed and believed would resonate with the right clients, and that consistency eventually attracted larger opportunities.
Why Instagram Views & Likes Don't Matter with Trent Duffy
Q: What made you decide to share this confession publicly and submit it for the show?
I wanted to highlight that social media numbers aren't the sole measure of success; reaching the right clients matters more, and I hoped my experience could help other freelancers rethink their approach.
Should You Put Your Prices on Your Website? With James Barnard
Q: If you had to speak directly to the person who sent in this confession about whether you think they should put their prices on the website?
There is no one-size-fits-all approach; you have to experiment and give it a shot.
Ask Me Anything: Design, Brand Strategy & Business
Q: Where do you get your confidence?
Anytime that I've done anything that's been a little bit nerve-wracking or out of my comfort zone, I just try and push myself to do it.
