  • Gets bogged down

The watch content is pretty good but sometimes their banter gets bogged down by corny, unfunny joke premises. In the episode I just listened to, one of them was talking about smoking meat and said that there is a cut of meat that they don’t sell anymore (or something like that) and the other jumped in and said something about a glory hole? Then they went on for a few more seconds joking about a glory hole? It was just kind of lame and made me turn it off, not because I’m offended or anything of... more

  • Smart, funny, perfect team work?

This is a no nonsense podcast that has a ton of nonsense. The two host couldn’t be more alike and at the same time, more diverse in their taste. The banter they exchange is what makes this a great show. Come for the watches, stay for the people.

  • Best watch podcast

I’m calling this the best watch podcast for Americans, which sounds weird, I’m sure. I just can’t listen to someone with a french (swiss?) accent talk about anything really. They just sound so pretentious. In general the brits and scots do as well. Basically I’m endorsing this podcasts because it’s people who sound like me talking about watches.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Interview with NJ of Bangalore Watch Company (317)
Q: Have you experienced stigma regarding global perceptions about Indian products?
Surprisingly, they have seen little stigma. They expected it but found that the watch community treats their products based on watch quality rather than origin. While some stories might not appeal to everyone, they don't encounter the cheap product assumptions they feared.
Interview with John Liley of Markwell Watches (278)
Q: How did you get into watches?
John details how his father's old Boliva watch sparked his interest, leading to a lifelong passion for collecting and creating watches.
Interview With Michael Pearson of Christopher Ward (292)
Q: What's the next 12 months look like for North America for Christopher Ward?
We're planning to open our first showroom in Texas, continue our tour to reach areas we've never been, and grow engagement with our dedicated fan base.
