  • Go Bears!

After a long season of heartbreak and disappointment I can’t wait to hear Zimmerman drag every negative point out into town square and beat the point senseless. Blah blah blah. His franchise is gonna be so sweet someday.

  • Go Bears!

Robert should read books to toddlers. Must be the worst voice for a pod/radio. It completely distracts from anything or any point he’s trying to make. I’m still convinced his dad paid for all the studio gear or something. Nepotism is the only explanation for his continued air time.

  • Best bears pod

The former Windy City GI Crew is behind this pod, which was known as the incubator for great talent and already was a great product. This pod is a step up. Really good stories, great insights and analyses, best in business guests. Must listen for any bears fan worth his smelling salt.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Bears Banter Ep. 238: NFL Draft Preview with EJ Snyder!
Q: If all three top safeties were available at 25, what would be your order of preference for the Bears in Dennis Allen's defense?
Theinemann would be first for his flexibility and ability to cover every blade of grass, Downs would be second for his box-safety instincts and playmaking range, and McNeil-Warren would be third as a well-rounded inside defender who can fit multiple roles depending on scheme.
Making Monsters Draft Series: Georgia's Monroe Freeling, CJ Allen & Christen Miller
Q: How does Christen Miller fit into NFL schemes and what could his impact be?
Miller's run‑stopping ability and presence up front were discussed as valuable for teams prioritizing run defense; while he may not accumulate sacks, his ability to occupy blockers and affect plays can be beneficial in various schemes.
Making Monsters Draft Series: Georgia's Monroe Freeling, CJ Allen & Christen Miller
Q: What makes CJ Allen stand out as a draft prospect for the Bears?
Allen's versatility, leadership, and football IQ were highlighted, with emphasis on his ability to play multiple linebacker roles, be a 'coach on the field,' and anchor the defense even if his tackle numbers aren't the flashiest.
Making Monsters Draft Series: Georgia's Monroe Freeling, CJ Allen & Christen Miller
Q: How did Monroe Freeling develop from a five‑star recruit to a potential first‑round pick?
The guest noted Freeling's continued development at left tackle, his frame and athleticism, and the way his limited starts still translated into high upside due to his performance against strong competition, suggesting a projection as a long‑term starter at the next level.
Making Monsters Draft Series: Tennessee's Jermond McCoy, Colton Hood & Joshua Josephs
Q: Explain that Leo position and how it fits into the defense; did you run a 3-4 or is it a 4-2 nickel in Tennessee?
They described Tennessee's defense as a 4-2 nickel with the Leo position, where the fourth lineman often operates as an edge rusher but can drop into coverage; this versatility was a hallmark of how the defense used Josephs and related players.
