  • Go Bears!

After a long season of heartbreak and disappointment I can’t wait to hear Zimmerman drag every negative point out into town square and beat the point senseless. Blah blah blah. His franchise is gonna be so sweet someday.

  • Go Bears!

Robert should read books to toddlers. Must be the worst voice for a pod/radio. It completely distracts from anything or any point he’s trying to make. I’m still convinced his dad paid for all the studio gear or something. Nepotism is the only explanation for his continued air time.

  • Best bears pod

The former Windy City GI Crew is behind this pod, which was known as the incubator for great talent and already was a great product. This pod is a step up. Really good stories, great insights and analyses, best in business guests. Must listen for any bears fan worth his smelling salt.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Making Monsters: What Devin Bush and Jedrick Wills Jr. bring to the Bears
Q: What are the expectations for Jedrick Wills Jr. with the Bears?
Expectations hinge on health and the coaching environment; with the right coaching and teammates, his athletic tools could translate into solid performance, but consistency and motivation are critical factors.
Making Monsters: What Devin Bush and Jedrick Wills Jr. bring to the Bears
Q: How does the Browns' defensive interior influence the rest of the defense?
The interior pressure allows the linebackers to play with more freedom and the corners to gamble a bit more, because the interior can disrupt plays early, reducing the need for every pass rush to come from the edge.
Making Monsters: Coby Bryant Joins the Bears with a Ring and a Chip on his Shoulder
Q: There's a few reasons people talked about why Coby Bryant dropped a bit in the draft after his Cincinnati year; what were the main concerns that led to his slide?
The guest explains that Bryant wasn't considered exceptionally fast for the nickel-to-safety transition, which contributed to fall in the draft. He also notes that many players who move positions—especially from corner to safety or nickel—can test poorly athletically, which teams weigh when evaluating draft value. Despite those concerns, Bryant's versatility, ball skills, and long speed were seen as a fit for safety in Seattle and now Chicago, with a high ceiling if coached correctly.
Making Monsters: Kentavius Street and what he can add to the Bears
Q: So where did they use him more? Was he more nose tackle, three tech? What were you seeing him as?
He was primarily used as a three-tech in diagrams of their line, taking on blocks, and he did not show edge-rush ability in Atlanta; his best fit seems inside, where he can clog gaps and free up the interior disruptors.
Chicago Draft Room: How Bears Free Agency Could Change Their Draft Approach
Q: Is there still a strong need for an edge/rush presence even with the additions in free agency?
Definitely; while there are encouraging signs, the defense still needs a credible pass rush, which could push Chicago to pursue edge rushers in free agency's second wave and heavy involvement of defensive-line picks early in the draft.
