  • Go Bears!

After a long season of heartbreak and disappointment I can’t wait to hear Zimmerman drag every negative point out into town square and beat the point senseless. Blah blah blah. His franchise is gonna be so sweet someday.

  • Go Bears!

Robert should read books to toddlers. Must be the worst voice for a pod/radio. It completely distracts from anything or any point he’s trying to make. I’m still convinced his dad paid for all the studio gear or something. Nepotism is the only explanation for his continued air time.

  • Best bears pod

The former Windy City GI Crew is behind this pod, which was known as the incubator for great talent and already was a great product. This pod is a step up. Really good stories, great insights and analyses, best in business guests. Must listen for any bears fan worth his smelling salt.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Making Monsters Draft Series: Jacob Rodriguez and Texas Tech's Top Prospects
Q: How might Bears teams approach a potential trade to secure one of these edge rushers?
The discussion suggests that the Bears could consider moving up to target top edge rushers, as there is perceived premium value at the top of the edge ladder. However, it notes the Bears' current picks and trade dynamics, with a possibility of leveraging second-round picks and existing offers to move up for a preferred player.
Making Monsters Draft Series: Jacob Rodriguez and Texas Tech's Top Prospects
Q: What makes Jacob Rodriguez an appealing NFL prospect beyond raw athleticism?
Rodriguez is described as a true, instinctive middle linebacker with elite pass-reading ability, strong leadership, and versatility. His quarterback-background in high school and college is cited as contributing to a high football IQ and anticipation instincts, making him a potential first-round option for teams valuing leadership and run/pass recognition.
Making Monsters Draft Series: Jacob Rodriguez and Texas Tech's Top Prospects
Q: What made Texas Tech's defense stand out last season and how did it shape its draft stock?
The defense stood out for its balance, with a disruptive pass rush and a strong back end, plus leadership and a cohesive unit that reduced holes. The assistant notes that the unit fed off each other and had few obvious weaknesses on draft boards, boosting several players' stock.
Bear & Balanced: Caleb Williams and Chicago Bears QB History w/Kyle Morris
Q: What stands out most from your research about Caleb Williams's fit in the Ben Johnson offense?
Williams fits a modern, high-variance style that still uses under-center play-action and mid-field progression; his ability to generate explosives while managing pressure is crucial, and Johnson's scheme could maximize that if his surrounding pieces hold up.
Bear & Balanced: Caleb Williams and Chicago Bears QB History w/Kyle Morris
Q: Kyle, welcome to the discussion—what sparked your interest in writing a history of Bears quarterbacks?
I've lived through much of this era, studied it academically, and wanted to contextualize the QB story not as isolated myths but as a long arc shaped by personnel, coaching, and evolving football strategies; the historian's lens reveals patterns and funny, telling moments.
