Hi, I am your host Siddhartha! I have been an entrepreneur from 2012-2017 building two products AddoDoc and Babygogo. After selling my company to SHEROES, I and my partner Nansi decided to start up again. But we felt unequipped in our skillset in 2018 to build a large company. We had known 0-1 journey from our startups but lacked the experience of building 1-10 journeys.

Hence was born the Neon S... more

  • Serious probability flaw in Dilsher’s 29 June episode

To be considered towards a game of skill on the skill-luck spectrum, Dilsher says that the probability of someone winning 90% of games is very less. Hence, it is a game of skill!

Well, there isn’t just one user of the app. Given, n users (let’s say 1 lakh), you need to multiple the user level probability with entire sample to get the number of users.

Even if all 1 lakh users were just betting on 10 coin tosses (ie 10 games), 1% will win 90% of the games. (10/1024)

    That is 1000 users.

The Art of Enterprise Sale: Selling Startups to Giants with Poojan Kumar
Q: What role did multi-cloud and cloud-native architecture play in your exit strategies and product decisions?
Multi-cloud awareness and cloud-native design became central as enterprises moved data and workloads to the cloud. Building resilient, agentic capabilities that leverage cloud primitives (like S3) allowed the businesses to scale while maintaining strong cyber resilience, which was critical for attracting strategic buyers like Nutanix and Commvault.
The Art of Enterprise Sale: Selling Startups to Giants with Poojan Kumar
Q: How did adoption and sales evolve from Pernix to Clumio, and what changed in the go-to-market approach?
Adoption shifted from a traditional, sales-led model to a ground-up, consumption-oriented approach. This meant customers could start using the product without heavy sales engagement, mirroring the cloud-native pattern that enables scalable growth and faster validation by end users.
The Art of Enterprise Sale: Selling Startups to Giants with Poojan Kumar
Q: How would you advise first-time founders on raising money and exploring M&A opportunities?
Focus on raising the right amount of capital that takes you from point A to point B without over-dunding, choose partners who share a long-term perspective, and treat fundraising as a means to reach clear milestones rather than hoarding capital. For M&A, prioritize time to build relationships, ensure a good strategic fit, and align post-acquisition visions so the mission continues to delight customers.
Can the Indian Market Alone Take You to $100M ARR? | Aneesh Reddy, Capillary Tech
Q: What leadership practices helped Capillary survive downturns and sustain growth?
We focused on ruthless prioritization, employee well-being (sabbaticals and rotation), coaching for first-time managers, and early customer insight to drive fast ROI, which reduced churn and maintained momentum during tough periods.
Can the Indian Market Alone Take You to $100M ARR? | Aneesh Reddy, Capillary Tech
Q: What was the key shift in your US acquisition strategy when you returned to the market in 2020?
We stopped trying to push a broad, generic loyalty stack and instead pursued deep, battle-tested product depth, partnered with trusted analysts, and used targeted CEO-level outreach to establish credible reference points, which helped accelerate enterprise adoption.
