  • Great topics and speakers but just too long

The podcast features great thinker’s and focuses on interesting topics. But…..1+ hour is just too tedious and many times the subject is repeated to tie point of grinding it into dust. Also Ms Prakash needs to be aware of facts before shooting from the hip. American military “being blown to smithereens”. It’s laughable.

  • A Must-Listen Podcast

Smita Prakash's ANI podcast is a fantastic listen. Her conversations are consistently informative and often surprisingly fun, like the memorable "Samosa Caucus" episode. I always come away with valuable insights. Highly recommended for anyone seeking engaging and enlightening discussions especially if it regarding geo politics!

  • Poor episode. Not knowing the difference between neutralizing and murder, rpg and grenade... Points to very poor meeting prep, if any at all. Made it feel like a shallow attempt at a very serious topic. Please sharpen your pencils before the paper is distributed.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EP-428 | "Energy Security Decides India's Future" Bank of America Chief India Economist Rahul Bajoria
Q: What three reforms should the government pursue immediately?
Maintain policy stability and communicate it clearly to reassure long-term investors; accelerate state-level reforms to improve execution and delivery; and enhance energy security to reduce price volatility and protect growth from external shocks.
EP-428 | "Energy Security Decides India's Future" Bank of America Chief India Economist Rahul Bajoria
Q: What explains the current valuation of Indian equities, and is the market pricing in the right growth narrative?
Valuations reflect a growth premium embedded in a monetary and policy framework that balances inflation risks with growth ambitions; while standalone India looks expensive relative to some peers, a strong services export trajectory and tech-driven investment could justify the premium if earnings growth remains intact.
EP-428 | "Energy Security Decides India's Future" Bank of America Chief India Economist Rahul Bajoria
Q: If you were advising investors today, would you tell them to buy the India story or to wait?
The guest emphasizes a cautious optimism: despite near-term shocks and mixed momentum, the medium-term path looks favorable due to improving balance sheets, ongoing investment, and policy support, especially if energy risks are managed and reforms maintain credibility.
EP-431 | Hindu Terror Origin, 26/11 Attacks, Ishrat Jahan Case, Malegaon Blast, Beant Singh| RVS Mani
Q: When did you first hear the term Hindu Terror and how did it appear in official files?
I first heard references around the time of the Maligaon and 26/11 sequences; over time it appeared in internal notes and RTIs, but I maintained that there was no substantiated Hindu Terror corpus in the Home Ministry's records during the 2010 period.
EP-423 | CEA V. Anantha Nageswaran on India's Economy, AI, Rupee, Freebies & China | ANI Podcast
Q: Should India worry more about unemployment or unemployability in the context of AI and automation?
Both are concerns; the solution lies in expanding labour-intensive opportunities, enhancing skilling, and creating a portfolio of skills that remain relevant even as AI evolves.
