  • Agreed—facts incorrect

I agree with a review by a listener who commented on two big mistakes when hosts discussed the Adelson trial. Mispronunciation of FSU Law Professor Markel’s last name and stating he was a doctor. Where was the editing after recording?

  • So Many Facts Wrong!

Shoot. I was so excited for this but not only do the hosts pronounce victim Danny Markel’s name wrong over and over (hello? Watch 2 seconds testimony and give the victim that level of respect), but they talk about what a great doctor he was? He was a law professor and attorney. This is so sloppy. Yikes

Mac doesn’t just know everyone she has worked with everyone. Her response and duties during the Olympic Bombing has knocked me out. I had no idea she played that kind of role. Impressive Mac!

  • A lot of heart to go with all of her experience

As another Southerner, I can imagine her saying, “Bless your heart,” with a world of heartfelt compassion for the victims and families she’s worked with through the years. Her compassion is balanced with firsthand knowledge and understanding of how truly terrible human beings can be to one another. Sheryl also has that humor a lot of Southerners have, and it’s never disrespectful. I just started listening which means I have a lot of back episodes to choose from as well! Sheryl, thanks for being ... more

The Delphi Murders | "Shadow of the Bridge" with Áine Cain & Kevin Greenlee
Q: Now, Áine, you were saying you were so exhausted, but every night you had to type up your notes.
It was tough. We had people in our lives who understood our needs, so they weren't offended when we sort of disappeared for a month, though we missed our dog a lot during that time.
The Delphi Murders | "Shadow of the Bridge" with Áine Cain & Kevin Greenlee
Q: How did y'all then decide to approach and include the family story?
We knew the family story was absolutely crucial, but we also didn't want to intrude or exploit their memories. So we approached it very gently, emphasizing our intention to honor Abby and Libby as heroes.
Pathology with Dr. Priya | A Zone 7 Series: Listener Q&A
Q: Can you do an autopsy after someone has been embalmed?
Yes, but it complicates toxicology tests due to the chemicals used in embalming.
Pathology with Dr. Priya | A Zone 7 Series: Listener Q&A
Q: Is it true in some small towns they use newspaper or sawdust to fill in cavities in the body?
I have never seen newspaper, but I have seen sawdust used minimally in the preparation of embalmed bodies.
Pathology with Dr. Priya | A Zone 7 Series: Listener Q&A
Q: Isn't it true that if you have an autopsy, you can't have an open casket?
No, an autopsy can be performed in such a way that does not interfere with open casket services, assuming the body is in an appropriate condition.
