无名然《中华人民共和国民法典》已由中国人民共和国第十三届全国人民代表大会第三次会议于2020年5月28日通过，现予公布，自2021年1月1日起施行。《婚姻法》、《继承法》、《民法通则》、《收养法》、《担保法》、《合同法》、《物权法》、《侵权责任法》、《民法总则》同时废止。
《中华人民共和国民法典》被称为“社会生活的百科全书”，是新中国第一部以法典命名的法律，在法律体系中居于基础性地位，也是市场经济的基本法。
《中华人民共和国民法典》共7编、1260条，被誉为“新时代人民权利的宣言书”。
