本集節目回顧1975年楊弦發表《中國現代民歌集》，將余光中的現代詩譜曲，被視為民歌運動的開端。1977年「金韻獎」與「民謠風」等活動與專輯促使民歌走向商業化，培育出齊豫、蔡琴、李建復、葉佳修等歌手。以及廣播人陶曉清大力推動，使民歌在電台熱播，成為當時青年的集體記憶。
1980年代中後期，隨著解嚴及流行音樂工業成熟，曲風走向搖滾與商業流行，1990年代後走下坡，但民歌培育的人才，例如李宗盛、羅大佑等人仍成為後期台灣流行樂壇的主力。

疫情期間政府規定酒店業停業。有些公關小姐沒有收入繳不出租金差點被房東趕出來，有人想申請紓困卻不知道如何申請。黃蛹和朋友因為經營社群粉專舉辦巡迴講座，讓外界重新認識酒店公關業，洗刷汙名化的刻板印象，為了替酒店工作者多爭取勞權，她成立「台北市娛樂公關經紀職業工會」，是全國第一個由勞方組成、且在實質運作的酒店業工會。

林國峰在高中社團指導的學生去酒店工作，有機會深入了解酒店公關的真實生活。黃蛹是主修服裝設計的大學生，為了繳出龐大的服裝材料費而進入酒店半工半讀。黃蛹在高中參加過學權、社運與戲劇節活動，啟蒙她對社會議題與藝術活動的關注。曾和林國峰共同策畫舞台劇與藝展，開啟職涯的另一片天地。

林瑞麟創作短詩、長詩、散文詩或極短篇小說渾然天成，文風節制、詩意清雅。曾自言「文字是救贖與出口」，在詩集《撤離練習》重新布署，除了深層回應崩解的世界、也是面對「存在」的沉靜辯證。在書寫與沉默之間，透過詩情詩意練習退場與重新進場。
