These are great dharma talks from weekly meditation sits and sesshins (silent long meditation retreats). All the teachers have something different to offer and all have undergone years and years, typically over a decade of zen training to become recognised within the community. Jogen has a lot of very relatable talks for practitioners on here, particularly the “Practicing With Family” talk.

Kisei Sensei’s recent talk on impermanence has knocked me off my stool—in a good way. I feel challenged and befriended. Thank you.
Educational and Entertaining, this podcast has become my constant companion while driving, or lying down to sleep. The teachers not only focus on the sensational aspects of Zen, but also on those portions which are necessary and oftentimes difficult to hear. The teachers are compassionate, knowledgeable, and have a true love that is audibly communicated to their listeners. It is my hope that people who have an interest in Zen and mindfulness will discover this wonderful podcast.

A series of Zen Dharma talks led by respected teachers from the Zen Community of Oregon. Episodes emphasize practical meditation guidance, posture, attention, and the balance between staying with experience and allowing it to unfold. Themes recur around impermanence, equanimity, ethical living, and how practice translates into everyday life, work, and relationships, often with personal anecdotes from monastic communities. A notable strength is the blend of traditional Zen instruction with accessible, down-to-earth applications and occasional neuroscience-informed reflections, making teachings feel both timeless and applicable to modern living.
