在母嬰照護現場，我常常看到媽媽一摸到硬塊，就趕緊買軟磷脂。
但有趣的是： 同樣都有乳塊， 有人吃了覺得很有效， 有人吃了卻完全沒感覺。
為什麼？
因為乳房的問題，從來不只是「有沒有乳塊」這麼簡單。
乳房是柔軟有彈性？ 還是已經脹到又硬又痛？
乳塊是局部？ 還是整個乳房都充滿壓力？
乳汁排得出來？ 還是已經出現紅、腫、熱、痛？
這些狀況都會影響後續的處理方式。

很多媽媽看到自己擠不出多少奶，就開始擔心是不是奶量不足。
但在實際服務中，我常發現有些媽媽的問題不是奶太少，而是乳房太脹、太硬，乳汁排不出來。
尤其當媽媽喝了很多發奶飲品、吃了很多發奶食物後，乳房變得緊繃，反而容易出現：
✔ 乳房很脹
✔ 擠出來卻不多
✔ 寶寶喝完還是不舒服
✔ 一直想追奶
這時候更重要的不是繼續發奶，而是先了解乳房目前的狀態。
我常跟媽媽說：我們追求的不是很多奶，而是剛剛好的奶。
寶寶吃得飽、乳房舒服、媽媽能休息，這樣的餵奶方式才能長久。
