  • What did I just listen to?

The fear-based “expert” who advocated not brushing your kids teeth, not pursuing feeding therapy, not even attempting to give a vitamin, just in case you upset the child??? You need to be more afraid of what that adult child will feel about you when you’ve neglected them and destroyed their health.

Full of deep, vulnerable, and thought provoking content. Who I’m listening in the car, I sometimes have to pull to take notes. Cara and Rythea generously share their own personal processes and triggers so parents who are also determined to treat kids respectfully can see how it’s done. They understand that the way we parent is connected to systems, sociology and psychology, all o... more

  • Non-coercive reparenting

I just listened to the April 27th episode of this podcast (YKDS) for the second time today. I am not a parent, but am reparenting myself. I’ve been having a particular issue and following along with Rythea Lee’s process in this episode really helped me unlock it. Learning about non-coercive parenting has taught me a new perspective on what’s possible for connection and communication in all my relationships. Rythea Lee and Cara Tedstone, thank you so much for sharing!

  • Thank goodness for this podcast!

When you’re trying to parent with radical respect for your children in a society that doesn’t even acknowledge how marginalized and oppressed children are, it’s a lonely road. But having Cara and Rythea as companions and guides makes it not only tolerable, but an exciting adventure into a land of possibilities and permission to LOVE these little ones FULLY. Hope you never stop sharing your wisdom and guidance - thanks so much!
