I just finished my first Camino last week. In the last year I managed to listen to every single episode, about 150 in all. Nancy was in my ear and heart on the trail and made my experience better all around.

  • The information you need for the Camino

Nancy is a wealth of information delivered with such an obvious love for the Camino, especially the Frances.

Every episode there is a gem of information that you add to your own Camino book of knowledge.

And her voice .... such a calm, beautiful and clear delivery. Listen from the very beginning I guaranteed you won't regret it.

  • Companion

As we prepare to start our Camino eight months from now, I can tell that Nancy has become a kind and steady companion to my preparatory walks in the neighborhood. Th episodes are truly informative and democratic inasmuch as she really empowers the peregrinos to have the experience that make the most sense to them. An informed experience nonetheless. I’m hoping my that aa we approach the day of our trip, I’ll have finished all episodes and decide to go mostly analog, other than my downloaded musi... more

  • Favorite Camino Podcast

Since deciding to walk the Camino I have listened to a variety of books and podcasts on the topic. Nancy’s podcast is my favorite by far. I love the interviews with pilgrims planning their Camino’s and those And all of Nancy’s sage advice. Her thoughtful questions of her guest and stories of her own Camino experiences make for a fascinating listen. Every time I listen to an episode, I get more and more excited about my own Camino.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 155: Pilgrims inspiring pilgrims, with Mark and Krista
Q: How did you plan around Saint James' Day, and what does that timing mean for your trip?
They planned to be in Santiago for the Saint James' Day celebrations, which add a festive capstone to their Camino experience, while the timing was partly coincidental due to school breaks and travel logistics.
Ep 155: Pilgrims inspiring pilgrims, with Mark and Krista
Q: Tell us about your Camino plans and why León as a starting point?
Mark explains they chose León because it matched their time window, allowed for a manageable stretch, and aligned with their desire to experience the Francés route without committing to the full journey immediately.
Ep 153: What happens when you say YES to the Camino call, with pilgrim Tracy
Q: Why did you choose to split the journey into three legs instead of doing a through-walk?
She wanted to honor life commitments, including a full-time job and caring for a senior dog, and found that dividing the trek into three shorter segments allowed her to experience the Camino without leaving home for an extended period.
Ep 153: What happens when you say YES to the Camino call, with pilgrim Tracy
Q: What called you to walk the Camino in the first place?
Tracy explains that the Camino had long called to her, initially via a broader awareness of multiple caminos beyond the Francés, and a personal sense of spiritual pull that grew when she learned about a mission-trips option and the possibility of sharing the journey with others.
Ep 151: The gift of the long lead up with pilgrim Neil
Q: What drew you to walk the Camino now, and how did you decide which route to start with?
Neil describes the calling as a seed planted long ago that slowly grew, culminating in January when he decided to act. He emphasizes researching systematically, weighing route options like Primitivo and Francés, and preferring a gradual, thoughtful lead-up rather than rushing into a decision.
