1898年《臺灣新報》上出現一篇署名「さんぽん」寫的「艋舺謀殺事件」的日文小說，故事講述在艋舺龍山寺的水池內發現了一具男屍，兩名警探根據線索探案、追查兇手的經過。查案過程中，可以看到初萌芽的「科學探案」精神和日治初期臺灣社會的生動觀察紀錄，長久以來被當作研究臺灣文學的重要素材，... more
這幾年來，有越來越多影視作品採用臺灣史的題材，帶領觀眾在不同時期的臺灣社會來去穿梭，希望喚起觀眾對臺灣歷史的興趣。電視劇《商魂》講述了臺灣第一代實業家林燈的故事，劇情從日治時期一路走到戰後臺灣。從歷史轉化為具有戲劇張力的故事，需要透過歷史考據建立讓人信服的情節與場景，透過造型、服飾、道具、布景的設計，做出戲劇中的細節質感與大時代雲湧的氛圍。
