  • Great podcast but struggling with recent cast changes

I’m an absolutely huge fan of old sitcoms and think this podcast is very good. I got into it recently having been listening to rrival podcast for a year or so and started from the beginning. The content is very good and I enjoy much of the discussion but (and this is a personal thing), I find Alex’s style very hard to listen to. He is very nonchalant and dismissive in the way he goes to things and I think it attracts a bit from some of the earlier episodes, which I felt a lot more-jovial and mo... more

  • Now unlistenable.

Urgh, Alex. Who is this Hooray Henry Queen you’ve dug up? Her camp plum voice is excruciating - I had to turn off the Blackadder episode after 5 minutes. She drawls & over enunciates - it’s quite painful to listen to; talking a lot but saying very little. Get rid of her, she’s too much.

  • The Podcast You Didn't Know You Wanted

These days it's not unusual for people to get geeky about Star Wars or Marvel on podcasts, but who gets geeky about British sitcoms? Well, Tony and Robert do! If you'd have told me a couple of years ago that a podcast about British sitcoms would become one of my favourites, I wouldn't have believed you.

It's not until you listen to this show that you realise how much of a part of the fabric of British life sitcoms have been, and how much they say about us depending on when they were made.

  • Love this podcast!

Get to relieve some great (and some not so great) British comedy. Could you do Mighty Boosh? Please? :)

I should add - I don’t agree with everything the guys say but I think they are largely respectful and entertaining - and genuine! No false compliments but very genuine appreciation.
