風呂に入ることは実は不安を取り除く効果もあるのではないか。風呂の習慣は身体を清めると同時に、心も清め、明日に備えて整えることなのかもしれません。水の力を借りることで、不安を和らげるという神道的な視点。長期思考と不安との関係性、大自然の中に身を置くことと動き続けることが不安を解消する理由など、三人それぞれの経験から不安と向き合う方法を話し合います。

人は生きている限り不安を感じるもの。生物として生き延びるための正常な不安と、頭で考えることに起因する不安の違い、不安をコントロールする神道的な考え方について、それぞれの経験を交えて話すトークテーマの第一回です。「気が枯れる」時にどうするのか、不安を感じる場面を共有しながら、神社ラジオなのに最後は仏教的な考えにも発展していくという、まさに「よりみち」な回になりました。

今年の飛脚まらそんは、世界13カ国から32名の海外ランナーも参加し、第二回にして国際色豊かな大会になりました。
改めて飛脚まらそんって何だろうと考えた時、そこには、競争や自己克服ではなく、感謝や祈りといった日本の精神ならではの価値観があるように思います。
西洋の教会の尖塔は空に向かってより高みを目指すものですが、神社はとにかく奥へ奥へ広がっていく。ゴールははっきりしないけれど、振り返ると道になっている。このような神社の作りそのものと飛脚まらそんの概念も深い関係がありそうです。
