  • Great show!

Thanks for doing the good work and keeping us informed on what’s going on in Texas!

As a teacher, I really appreciate the coverage you guys had on South Lake a few months (years?) ago!

Cypress Fairbanks ISD is the third largest district in Texas, after HISD and DISD. In 2021, three Christian Nationalists were elected to the board. Two years ago, three more were elected, giving them a 6-1 super majority. There’s been quite a bit of coverage of some of their decisions (removing 13 chapters of... more

  • Ok for a democrat podcast

Been listening occasionally for over a year now. You need to skip to about 5 min in unless you need a beer suggestion (they seem to prefer IPA’s). Then the two lefty reporters often discuss Texas related topics. with a progressive slant. Often have interviews with Texas related subject experts.

  • Interesting

They do a good job at being fair and balanced politically while trying to get some answers about questions that really matter to Texans. I figured maybe I would just listen to a few episodes of interest but found myself coming back each week. And, that’s coming from a person who doesn’t like beer!

Q: How do you expect this shutdown is going to end?
The shutdown is expected to end with the passing of the Democratic Senate resolution to reopen the government that restores everyone's health care.
Texas and the Government Shutdown. Let the Finger-pointing Begin.
Q: How do you respond to that claim from the Republican Party?
I think that that's the most dishonest thing that they've said in this entire debate. They know that there's no one in this country receiving these health care tax credits who is undocumented.
Texas and the Government Shutdown. Let the Finger-pointing Begin.
Q: Why did you vote against keeping the government open?
I voted against the continuing resolution because it's going to cause thousands and thousands of people in the DFW Metroplex to lose their health care coverage.
