本期节目邀请到的是当代中国文学的研究者，同时也是作家和诗人的刘燕子博士。刘燕子博士长期关注中的国流亡者以及流亡知识分子状态，并在2024年5月出版了专著《不死的流亡者——野性的知识人群像》。和三四年前相比，这一两年，”润”的话题的热度，好像降温不少。但对于无论是流亡，还是离散，都可以说是华语社群，尤其是身居海外的大陆华语社群里的一个重要话题。通过这期节目，我们可以听到刘燕子博士在这些问题上的学术见解和评论。
中国共产党一直有一 套自己的民主叙事。比如，会说民主的作风如何如何。民主的风气之论，这里的民主是个形容词，是个定语，而不是主语。 这是一种毛主义化的产物，是毛时代的遗产。
本期的嘉宾是法国社会科学高等研究院历史学博士张崑。我和张崑博士聊了聊在中国当代史的语境下的中国民主化和民主的中国化。
1977年，17岁的知青孙中平以优异的成绩考上北京医学院医学专业，82年毕业后被分配到苏州医学院第一附属医院当外科大夫。十年后的92年，孙中平成为了医院的常务副院长。做个医术精湛的医生，是孙中平打小就有的理想，但成为医院领导后，需要管理和处理的更多是各种治病救人之外的事情，需要的是另一套他即不熟悉，也不擅长的行事模式和思维习惯。
问题，很快就来了。
如果精致利己主义的反面是粗犷利他主义，那这就是他人生最好的注脚。这句话，是我在做完这上下两期节目后，对他的粗浅解读。现居泰北山林里的孙中平，在简陋的木板房里继续着他的行医，还有他个人信仰的实践。无论在哪种精英叙事里，他的个人履历，是将是无可置疑的成功人数。但在泰北偏僻的山村里，他是村民口中随叫随到的“孙医生”。他是廖亦武笔下那个“上帝派来的基督徒”。为何会选择成为一名“顶级”的赤脚医生？让我们一起来倾听孙中平对于他人生，还有自由的另一种解法。
