今年6月，重慶一名男子被拍到在自家的陽台上毆打、虐待一隻寵物狗。
這則視頻在網絡上迅速傳播開，在短短幾天時間內，男子所居住的小區湧進了多達上百名志願者與男子對峙，嘗試解救小狗、在小區內通宵靜坐表達不滿。

多年以來，香港的生育率一直穩居亞洲的“倒數前三”，而在2023年，這個排位甚至達到了“全球最低”，平均每位女性僅生育0.8個小孩。
2023年，香港政府推出了一系列政策鼓勵生育，包括派錢、減稅、縮短公屋輪候時間、增加幼兒照顧服務名額等等。可這並沒能提高香港低迷的生育率，在2025年，香港的新生兒數量創下了破紀錄的新低。
讓香港女性選擇不生的，其實并非只有住屋和經濟，還有失去自由的代價，性別不平等的職場環境和家庭照顧責任。甚至是，這個世界是否值得孩子到來。
