Alaina and Grant take a journey through the wondrous depths of 1993's seaQuest DSV. Meeting at the intersection of childhood nostalgia and the pressures on production, we fit a bygone era of tv sci-fi into history and our hearts. Yes, this is about the show with the talking dolphin.

I’ve recently been diving (pun unintended…?) back into old ‘90’s TV for reasons I’m sure everyone can relate to, when a memory of seaQuest went off like a depth charge and made me crave watching it again. I figured there probably wouldn’t be any podcasts to enjoy alongside it but I’m so glad I checked! Not only is this the ONLY seaQuest podcast, it’s also incredibly fun and informative with very likeable hosts. I thought it’d all be just plot summaries and making fun of the dated CG but it’s act... more
I have never seen SeaQuest before this Podcast, and I've never seen SeaQuest during or after this Podcast. Yet I believe I have FELT SeaQuest through this Podcast. Grant and Alaina are, as always, a fantastic pair of guides through the baffling and astounding world that is this old TV show. Alaina's passion for the show is truly something special, and her chaotic energy is always enjoyable. Grant is perhaps my favorite podcast host, being so good at guiding conversations, keeping things on trac... more
I also do an annual SeaQuest watch and went looking for a SeaQuest podcast in hope to find like minded people. Grant and Alaina do a fantastic job with every episode, picking through the minutiae, adding in wonderful tidbits that make me love SeaQuest more. I have always been sadden that the show had such a short run. I may add in an annual WSKRS listen as well as an annual SeaQuest watch. Thank you for this podcast, I love it so much!!!
I was hoping for a podcast that might talk about behind the scenes facts but got more. I got a retelling of each episode as if Alaina was my super fan kid voice reminding me how cool it was watching the show. The beyond show content of lost episodes and archival audio has cemented how cool this show was back when I was a kid and how bummed I was it stopped. Grant and Alaina bring out the goods while presenting this podcast if a fun manner. Nerding out listening to this podcast from Down Under. O... more
I am rewatching SeaQuest for the first time in many years and this podcast has been the perfect companion for my return to the deep! I also realized that I apparently either never watched past season 1 or I erased those memories from my brain because I completely forgot most of it and it’s been a wild time! I look forward to listening to your podcast after every episode! Thank you so much for sharing with us! PS: Although O’Neill is my favorite character, I would happily join the Krieg Gang!... more
