  • Great content. More time to contemplate.

    Each week, I find great content and interesting insights that are new or challenging. Yet when the posting of this podcast is mid-week, it doesn’t give much time to contemplate or incorporate new ideas into sermon preparation. I would like mull these gems over a while and late posting prohibits that.

    I notice the Podcast in the RCL is frequently dropped days before this one. I’d like to see this one drop sooner.

    Content = GREAT.

    Timing = COULD BE BETTER.

The details of life may change decade to decade, but the sacred and profane theme... more

Narrative Lectionary 619 (NL333): Rich Man and Lazarus - March 30, 2025
Q: Do you think it matters that sometimes it's just translated wealth or money, but that Jesus often calls wealth mammon?
The choice of the word 'mammon' suggests a deeper issue of idolatry, where wealth becomes the ultimate goal in one's life, causing neglect of others.
