We are Words and Whiskey, your new intoxicating weekly book club! We started this as a project to encourage PJ to read more (he hadn't seriously committed to a book since high school), and deepen Krossland's understanding of why he loves fiction in the first place. We also hope it encourages others to join in, follow along, and probably make fun of our opinions too. We also love to drink, make coc... more

Hey there folks! While PJ's away on his honeymoon, I figured this was a great opportunity to show off some of the stuff we'd released on the Patreon, and now we're back with Big trouble in Little China, Pj's favorite movie. more

Got to the fifth book of the Red Rising series (Dark Age) and was so desperate to discuss, I decided to find a matching podcast so I could at the very least listen to others talking about it! more
As they mentioned at the end of the ‘Dark Age’ reread somehow Kross never spoiled anything for PJ. A perfect companion podcast I started with the Red Rising series and will even check out other books they read as I love their conversations and insight. more
Just binged all the red rising episodes. Just started Mistborn. Can’t wait for Abercrombie! 3 of my all time favorite Trilogies. May have to jump into Jade Legacy once I catch up (never read). Looking forward to Light Bringer. You guys are a great hang. Keep it up!
Ahh guys, cmon! You started a podcast about the Red Rising Series and there’s a new book out. How am I supposed to read along without the pod? Not even a reaction update show to explain the plans for Lightbringer?
Loving the show! I just found Red Rising and no one I know has read or has even heard of it. I needed a conversation about it! Thanks! I’m excited to catch up with all the episodes. I recently finished Mistborn era 2 as well and the Green Bone saga was amazing. I have listened to book clubs pods before and for me editing the episodes and book selection is key. I love hearing that you edited hour long rants to 5 minutes! Looking forward to the journey!
