  • What a wonderful find

Just stumbled across this podcast since starting kitchen witch food, folklore & fairy tale. I have gone back and started listening from the beginning and loving the format, topics and Sarah’s voice. Just sublime. Side note have just purchasing for witches and Yin Magic but have witch country and the witch and the wildwood on my wish list

  • One of my favorite witch podcasts

I am a big fan of Sarah’s books. She has an amazing gift of storytelling, both written and spoken. Her podcast ties in really well with those, but also offers a great standalone option. I love how calm her podcast is, and it’s witchy without being woowoo. It’s a reminder of my time absorbed stories of fairy, witch and folklore as a child. A very welcome counterpoint to the rest of life.

  • Love the folklore

I listened to the first episode of this podcast, the Pendle Witches, for an assignment for a class called History of the Witch. I was hooked after the first episode. I listen to a lot of podcasts in the same genre, but had never heard of the Pendle witch trials. Informative and captivating, the host is a born story teller with a soothing voice. Loved the lore of the Rowan tree as well. I’ve started listening to the other episodes and they are all amazing.

  • Poor sound quality

Great content, dreadful sound quality, needs sorting, sounds like Sarah is under water in some parts, this really spoiled my experience

  • Soothing for the spirit

Sarah’s voice is that of magic itself. Soothing for the spirit. Her witchy walks are filled with wonder and history. I only wish there were more! Keep up the good work.

Q: How do bogs figure into this writing and our understanding of landscape?
Bogs are a potent symbol for liminality and time; they slow time, demand close attention, and teach writers to break beyond genre by engaging with form and deep listening, thereby shaping how we write about place and experience.
