One for the whisky drinkers. I've been listening to this for a couple of weeks. Really nice bunch of guys who love a dram. Not snobby arses about it.
Recent one I've listened to have been about the history of different brands, and insight into whisky in India and the story of the iconic Glencairn glass - not as old as you'd think!
Warning this can lead to you creating a wishlist on Amazon! Hello from Kent.
Enjoyable content but please give your guests better microphones. I can hardly hear Simon Thompson so turn up AirPods to full whack then get a blast of deafening shouty host banter. Not the only episode where the guest I actually want to hear from is too quiet.
Hard to listen over headphones, as every person have different volume, guy with mic is extremely loud but guests you can not hear sometimes beside him, just unbalanced audio and few times I had to stop listening, sadly
Full of laughs, stories and interesting guests. If you’re interested in whisky and the industry in Scotland, that interest is sure to grow listening to this.
If you have a love of whisky, you will love this podcast.
I usually listen on Friday night drive home and makes a great start to the weekend and ready for a few drams.
Only downside, if you can call it that, is I want to add to my collection after listening 🥃 Sláinte, Iechyd da

Whisky-focused discussions consistently center on blending, malting, and the global dynamics of the spirits industry, with a strong emphasis on how brands grow, how production choices shape flavor, and how distribution and marketing intersect with consumer trends. Episodes mix hands-on technical talk about malting, cask management, and distillery development with brand strategy, independent bottling, and luxury-market positioning, often peppered with lively anecdotes from tastings and travel. A notable pattern is the approachable, pub-chat vibe that pairs technical curiosity with industry insider access, making it helpful for listeners who want practical insights for sourcing, pitching, or sponsorship opportunities while still enjoying deep... more
