Nick is great on television and he has great topics for his pod buuuutt he can go long on something that’s extremely moot or he does this thing where he goes on an extreme tangent because he thinks the listener needs to hear it. And his WORST trait by far is when he explains a stat in the weirdest way possible like “this player has the second to last, worst shooting percentage, since 2022, not counting this season and if you remove his rookie year”. Reading that is one thing but hearing it while... more
Nick Wright and his son are a great duo! Big fan of the content. Listen to his other show first things first, and I like that he has a little more leeway in what he can discuss in this format. My one gripe, is the number of ads. Probably 15 minutes of ads in a 45 minute podcast.
I enjoy the podcast even though Nick is a Chiefs homer. Enjoyed the latest episode where Nick talked about the Emmy nomination and background First Things First. Thanks for sharing that.
Self absorbed homer who thinks he’s more open minded than he actually is and even admitted to betting in the direction of things he wants to happen rather than what he thinks will happen. Just a complete transformation of the guy I started listening to in 2017.
The gross amount of refusal to recognize context in sports arguments when NW wants to make a point is just too disingenuous for me to keep listening. Love the CHEIFS dominates to listen to some homer talk but NW just refuses to recognize basic contextual differences in sports situations and thus makes LAME sweeping generalizations. Gotta unfollow and go elsewhere.
